QNX SDP 8.0: Component Discontinuation and Deprecation Notice

This notice documents all items that are being discontinued or deprecated in QNX SDP 8.0.

Terminology:

  • Deprecation: A feature, API, or product that is still available and supported for now, but is no longer recommended for use and is planned to be removed or replaced in the future medial or major release.
    • You are encouraged to migrate to an alternative.
  • Discontinuation: A product, feature, or capability that has been fully retired and is no longer supported or maintained under a medial or major release.
    • No updates, patches, or fixes are provided.
    • May no longer be available for download, sale, or activation.
    • You must transition to another solution.
This notice doesn't document items that have been discontinued or deprecated in previous QNX SDP versions including QNX SDP 7.0 and QNX SDP 7.1. However, items that were listed as deprecated in 7.1 may appear here as discontinued in 8.0. Each section below recognizes an item as either deprecated or discontinued and also specifies any substitute that can be used in its place:
